Jim is the founding physio and Director of In Balance Physio and Pilates. He has over 25 years experience working as a physio in a variety of leading clinics both here in Sydney as well as the UK.
Jim believes strongly in identification and correction of the underlying causes of injury rather than just focusing on treatment of the symptoms. He uses his extensive experience in the relationship between poor movement and injury to get to the core of your issues and keep you moving pain free. An active approach to injury management is central to this and most patients will leave with a program of exercises to correct weakness and poor movement patterns which have led to their injury.
Through this approach, Jim has developed specialist skills in the treatment of lower limb, pelvic and spinal conditions. Over the years of practice, Jim has also developed a special interest in treatment of TMJ/TMD (jaw) dysfunction, headaches as well as vertigo, including BPPV. Through undertaking several post graduate courses in assessment and management of these conditions, he has developed a specialist skill set in treating these often poorly managed conditions.
Jim is both Pilates and acupuncture trained and incorporates these together with manual therapy and exercise for optimal recovery from injury.Back To Staff
