
Kieran Watson
Kieran is our APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. This title is awarded to highly qualified physiotherapists with advanced clinical skills in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. For a physiotherapist to attain this level, they must successfully complete a rigorous process to prove they have the required level of clinical expertise and knowledge to achieve Titled status.
Kieran has extensive experience with running mechanics and injury. He has worked with professional footballers, elite marathon and ultra-marathon runners both here in Australia as well as in the UK in gait retraining and rehabilitation. Kieran has also provided sports coverage for running events such as the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon, and provided physiotherapy for touch football teams in the National Touch League and State Cup competitions, along with local rugby and soccer teams.
Kieran completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at The University of Newcastle then went on to complete a postgraduate Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.
He believes firmly in the principles of identifying the root cause of injury and early diagnosis in order to effectively manage your injury. With the combination of manual therapy, dry needling and a comprehensive rehabilitation program he aims to get you back doing what you love. Kieran's special interests include the management of running related injuries, pelvic and spinal conditions, vertigo, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation programs.
